In environments that use and alter PC with high frequency (such as company PCs, school computers room, Internet cafes), it's necessary to make computer OS restore its original state at each reboot or specified time. Because compared with reinstalling and setting up the system over and over, its advantage is self-evident. This case, in addition to utilizing some hardware (PCI-E recovery card) to restore OS, your only best software solution is to use Deep Freeze such kind of reboot-to-restore tool. Its capability far surpasses programs like Returnil Virtual System and Shadow Defender.

When people need to synchronize, backup or frequently share files/data between a variety of devices (including computers and mobile phones), any traditional ways of file transfer are relatively inadequate. For example, a lot of cloud storage services like Dropbox have more and more and increasingly obvious limitations or restrictions. These include: files have to be uploaded to their servers for transfer, very limited disk space capacity, pretty high requirements on Internet connection speed and stability, limitation of transmission speed and bandwidth usage, very few acceptable file types, not high enough security, easy to be blocked by some countries, expensive cost, and so on. Thereupon, Resilio Sync (formerly called BTsync, full name BitTorrent Sync, now Sync for short) came out.

In the process of using a computer with Windows OS, the cases of system crash caused by virus infection, misoperation and other possible reasons are not rare. If you want to get rid of this kind of crisis, the best solution is to make a system backup/snapshot and immediately restore your Windows to normal state when it's necessary, rather than repeatedly reinstalling the Windows itself, a large number of hardware drivers and software, as well as repeating the verbose personalized system settings.

On hard disk, when you delete some folders, files or even an entire partition, all data is still existing in the same place where it was, and will always be there until overwritten. In fact, the deleting operation is just delete the pointer to the data on disk from MFT (Master File Table), so as to allow the operating system to perform writing operation there. Any data recovery software use this principle to work. Of course, you can delete the data truly and completely. But that requires you to ask special data eraser for help.

Many external factors can lead to file or data loss (such as: accidentally delete, format some hard disk or partition, virus infection, forcibly remove external storage devices, power failure, system crash, software breakdown...). But their root causes are primarily: MBR (Master Boot Record), BS (Boot Sector), DPT (Disk Partition Table) or MFT (Master File Table) is lost or damaged/corrupted. At this point, the only and ultimate solution that can restore any non-overwritten hard disk data is to use WinHex such kind of hex editor to manually correct them. But that requires you to be proficient in assembly language and the working principle of hard disk. So, what most of us need are some automation tools such like GetDataBack.

In the first place, only the users who have lost data can deeply experience and realize the importance and necessity of backuping data on a regular basis. And the data backup software have been so inundant that we have almost no chance to verify and compare them one by one, so that we can pick out the best one. However, I suggest you put AOMEI Backupper at the top of the list of the data backup software you're going to test.
