Ext2Explore (formerly called Ext2Read) is a free and open-source utility designed to facilitate the exploration and reading of files stored in Linux-based ext file systems directly from a Windows environment. As Linux file systems are not natively supported by Windows, this tool bridges the gap, allowing users to access their files without needing to boot into Linux or use additional complex virtualization techniques.

For mobile file managers, if you don't like the old UI of the classic Root Explorer or the bad usability of ES File Explorer, you can give Solid Explorer a try. Compared to similar products, its user interface is more modern and it's more feature-rich than its peers. If you feel that its features are not enough or its UI is not what you want, you can also extend it with plug-ins and icons pack.

In my opinion, there are only two best root file explorer/manager apps on Android platform: one is Root Explorer, the other is ES File Explorer. If have to arrange their positions, I'd like to put ES File Explorer in the second place, although I like its FTP client and remote manager functionalities very much, as well as its more user-friendly UI design. Anyway, now we're going to simply have a look at ES File Explorer.

At the sight of Explorer++'s name, maybe many people have thought of Notepad++ (NPP) - a freeware code editor which can completely replace the Windows built-in Notepad. Similarly, Explorer++ is a perfect alternative to the dull Microsoft built-in Windows Explorer.
