Castlevania, a horror action adventure game series created by the well-known game developer Koji Igarashi (いがらし こうじ, 五十嵐 孝司) from Japan, has been praised by numerous players around the world for its unique gameplay, diverse exploration and puzzle solving elements since it was first launched on the FC game console in 1986. So far, it already has a history of more than 30 years. In addition to games, it has also launched novels, comics, animations and other pan-entertainment multimedia. Therefore, its influence on future video games is self-evident.

In honor of the company's 50th anniversary, Konami Digital Entertainment released Contra Anniversary Collection, a collection of the classic action shooting game Contra series produced and released by Konami, which includes almost all the popular versions of Contra game works. As one of the most classic video games in the NES/FC era, Contra still has a large number of fans players around the world (most of whom are between 30 and 40 years old now) up to now, and Konami does hope to continue to expand the influence of this work.

As of writing this post, its latest release is Visual Studio 2019, based on Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.

Age of Empires, an epic and quite successful RTS (real-time strategy) game series, was developed by Ensemble Studios. The company was founded in 1995, and two years later they produced their first game work - Age of Empires. In 2001, it was acquired by Microsoft and became a game development company affiliated with Microsoft. Since then, it has rolled out many sequels and expansion packs of Age of Empires, which were released by Microsoft Game Studios (now called Xbox Game Studios).

Several months ago (when you see this post, at least another 3 months have passed), I was searching for an electronic edition of the classic book Visual Basic 6 Bible, and finally found it at Archive.org. However, not only did it take weeks to borrow, but also the finally downloaded ebook is a scanned and encrypted (with DRM protection) PDF file - which means it cannot be opened using any PDF reader other than the Adobe Digital Editions - the only book downloader & reader specified by Archive.org.
