LDtk (short for Level Designer toolkit, formerly called LEd) is a free and open-source 2D level editor for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, developed by deepnight (Sébastien Bénard) from France, who are the former director of the well-known indie game Dead Cells, with 20+ years of experience for creating various games.

WinDS PRO (LinuxDS PRO is its sister product) is a very complete set of emulators for all types of game consoles on Windows and Linux platforms, developed by lainz (Leandro Oscar Ezequiel Diaz) from Argentina in 2007. Since then, it has been updated regularly, offering new versions with new emulators, as well as updates of the existing ones.

Bforartists (short for Be For Artists) is a not a brand-new 3DCG program, but a fork of the popular Blender, developed by some 3D enthusiasts to make Blender even better. Its goal is to improve Blender's graphical UI and increase its usability. And Bforartists is completely free and open-source too.

It is published and maintained by the Matrix.org Foundation, which is a non-profit organization, and dedicated to creating an open, independent and evolving communication platform. In 2019, Matrix was out of beta, and its protocol is fully suitable for production usage.
