Fritzing is a free (pay to download), open-source electronic design automation software for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, developed by Interaction Design Lab Potsdam from Germany, using C++. It simplifies what PCB layout engineers did in the past, all using drag & drop method to easily finish complex circuit design.

As an efficient and easy-to-use graphical circuit development tool, Fritzing can meet various needs in circuit design work, and help you design various circuit diagrams easily and quickly. It provides four views: breadboard, schematic diagram, PCB and Code, and can be used to learn and make circuit schematic diagrams and PCBs. It comes with a rich library of components, and allows users to make components by themselves. Also, it adds a programming window where you can add a microcontroller to the board.

Compared with the same type of software, Fritzing has an automated design function, can help users automatically complete the circuit diagram design in the background, which enables designers to complete the circuit design in a shorter time and greatly improves the work efficiency. If there is a design that does not conform to the reality during the design process, it will help you mark it out. In short, Fritzing simplifies the design process and allows more operations to be completed automatically.
