Everything comes at a price. The advantage of cross-platform application developed with Electron and similar software frameworks is that the program has cool interface and nice features, but the obvious disadvantage is that the file size is too large, e.g.: the Mini Diary AppNee just shared. But I personally can't stand any large files, whether it's software, game, or even database.

Mini Diary is a pure and simple electronic diary/journal application for Windows and Mac platforms, built with Electron and React, developed by Samuel Meuli from Canada. It comes with only a basic UI, a few buttons, a text input field, a calendar, and a search function, but it's free, open-source, modern, user-friendly, effective, and secure enough.

For people with the habit of keeping a diary, they used to write it down by hand. This case, you have to keep your diary a little secret so that no one else can pry into your privacy. If you're thinking about getting down to use your computer to keep a diary or to keep an instant record of your sudden inspirations, ideas, etc., then besides DiaryOne and PIMOne, The Journal is a great choice too.
