Mini Diary is a pure and simple electronic diary/journal application for Windows and Mac platforms, built with Electron and React, developed by Samuel Meuli from Canada. It comes with only a basic UI, a few buttons, a text input field, a calendar, and a search function, but it's free, open-source, modern, user-friendly, effective, and secure enough.
Mini Diary has two themes (light and dark), provides features like file encryption, basic text formatting (bold, italic, bulleted list, numbered list), calendar, full-text search, localization in multiple languages and statistics, and allows to easily import diary from various apps and formats, and to export diary to various file formats (PDF, Markdown, etc.)
Unfortunately, by the time AppNee had time to share this software, it had been discontinued. But it's still worth sharing! Compared to DiaryOne, although Mini Diary is cleaner, tidier, easier to use and more efficient with all the unnecessary features removed, it lacks a very necessary "insert current time" function! So, it's not tagged by AppNee with 'Editors' Choice' and not used to repalce DiaryOne.
