One of the biggest challenges we face when buying a new computer or reinstalling a system is installing the drivers for all hardware. Without a driver, the hardware won't work; a driver that fails to install or uses the wrong version can cause various system failures (blue screen, black screen, dead screen, no sound, frequent restarts, some software/game/device does not start or run properly...).

Driver update software has proliferated everywhere, so that any software developer can publish their own driver updating program by purchasing the right to use a third-party drivers database. Here, TweakBit Driver Updater does nothing special (there are far more excellent and professional software of the same kind), and is merely a step toward implementing AppNee's task of "collecting and distributing all driver updating programs".

The DriverStore folder (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore) is used to store the third-party drivers for hardware by Windows. When you manually install a hardware driver, the corresponding driver files will be copied to this folder. When you uninstall this driver, the files should be removed too. However, if you just update a driver, then Windows will keep the old versions of this driver in case you encounter a problem and roll it back in the future. But the problem is that we almost never need to use those old drives.
