Terraria is a popularity pixel-style indie game nicknamed the 2D side-scrolling edition of the famous sandbox game Minecraft, which was launched on PC in as early as 2011. But personally I thought it was just in terms of its randomness and pixel style, for the game system design it was inspired most from the Clonk Rage. Of course, it's really as fascinating as Minecraft.

Planet Centauri is a pixel-style sandbox based indie adventure RPG game with very high degree of freedom. The game content is roughly the same as Terraria and Starbound, but its global style of graphics is more downy.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (ANA: 悪魔城ドラキュラX 月下の夜想曲, Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku, Devil's Castle Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight) closely follows the storyline of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, published by KONAMI in 1997 for SONY PlayStation console first, then transplanted to Sega Saturn in the next year, and landed PlayStation Portable in 2007. It is called the peak and an important milestone of the whole Castlevania series.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (AKA: ドラキュラⅡ 呪いの封印 , Dracula II: Seal of the Curse, Akumajo Dracula II: The Accursed Seal) was the continuation work for floppy disk edition of Castlevania, released for the Family Computer Disk System in Japan in 1987 and for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America in 1988. And this work did not sale the Japanese cartridge edition.

Avernum is a European & American style indie RPG game series, developed and issued by the famous independent RPG game company Spiderweb Software, as one of the five game series making this company repeatedly get rewards (other four series: Geneforge, Nethergate, Exile and Avadon). Each work can be called an epic.
