Windward is small sea-war indie game with very high playability and detail production with the sincerity. It was wholly (design/programming/UI) completed by a single person (Michael Lyashenko from Canada - well-known for developing the popular NGUI plugin for Unity game engine).

As is known to all, these retro + pixel styles of small indie games are vogue for the moment. Crea's design and gameplay are similar with Terraria, Starbound or Planet Centauri, all of which have high playability. Yet Crea has its own difference and lightspot ('Key Features' lists part of them).

Terraria is a popularity pixel-style indie game nicknamed the 2D side-scrolling edition of the famous sandbox game Minecraft, which was launched on PC in as early as 2011. But personally I thought it was just in terms of its randomness and pixel style, for the game system design it was inspired most from the Clonk Rage. Of course, it's really as fascinating as Minecraft.

Hero Siege is a bloody and snappy slashing game, developed by Panic Art Studios from a Finland independent games studio. It has the tower defense, pixel and Hack 'N' Slash styles at the same time.
