There are already countless chatting software (such as WhatsApp, Skype, Discord, Facebook Messenger), but almost all of them are non-free software based on central servers, and their security and privacy are not guaranteed (any chat history of you will be sold to various companies). Many of them claim to encrypt communication content, even with end-to-end encryption, but when a platform is proprietary, there is simply no way for others to verify that it is as secure and private as it promises to be. Of course, there are some really safe and reliable ones, but they are frequently blocked by governments of various countries and cannot continue (such as Signal, Telegram).

Why do we need to publish a post about this kind of web chatting app? After all, there have been too many video chat programs, such as ICQ, Pidgin, Miranda, Skype, TeamViewer, etc. Because sometimes we need to ensure that the communication is more privacy and exclusive (undisturbed), secure enough, and we can enjoy that anytime and anywhere.

Due to the increasing complexity of current Internet/Intranet environments, a variety of factors such as firewall, router, or broadband provider (ISP) often leads many remote control software based on the traditional 'direct connection' technology (like Microsoft Remote Desktop) to connect/operate very slow or even connection fail. Even the industry's strong performer TeamViewer also is becoming slower and slower.

No doubt, TeamViewer is an excellent all-in-one solution for remote control and online meeting. Sure there are also lots of similar good software, such as AnyDesk, ScreenConnect, Anyplace Control, PCAnyWhere, etc. But finally I would say TeamViewer does the best on a whole level.
