Screen-sharing applications are crucial for online collaboration, particularly in business settings, and can serve various educational purposes. Despite the impressive capabilities of most screen-sharing solutions, they do come with a significant drawback: they can be challenging for less experienced users, especially during the setup phase. Additionally, almost all screen-sharing solutions rely on an Internet connection.

TeamTalk is a free and open-source multi-user conferencing system for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile platforms, developed by Bjoern D. Rasmussen from Denmark. It allows user to perform real-time voice and video communication through Internet. For voice encoding, it uses the Opus and Speex audio codecs; for video streaming, it uses the WebM video codec.
