Adobe acquired Allegorithmic in 2019, along with this company's Substance family of tools. In 2021, Adobe released Adobe Substance 3D Modeler as a new member of the Substance application suite (others include Adobe Substance 3D Painter, Adobe Substance 3D Stager, Adobe Substance 3D Designer, and Adobe Substance 3D Sampler).
