[v3.3] Wrap – Leading 3D topology tool

Wrap (AKA: R3DS Wrap, R3DS Wrap Iteration) is a professional-quality 3D topology tool that has always been in the forefront of 3D scanning & processing technology field, developed by Russian3DScanner from Russia. Its emergence has completely changed the way we processed or redeveloped the 3D scanned data in the past. Whether you want to make a game or 3D animation, you can use Wrap to efficiently build your 3D character models and design their actions!

Wrap provides a set of very useful scanned data processing tools such as decimation, mesh filtering, texture projection, etc. Also, thanks to the node graph architecture (i.e.: node-based workspace), once you've processed a single scan, you can apply the same procedure to an infinite number of other scans. When dealing with a mass of similar objects (such like human scans), Wrap can use the existing basemesh and loosely match it with each scan. What's more, it is able to handle a variety of scanned data that might be considered to be problematic, such as partial 3D scans, full-body scans and Kinect scans.

Wrap has the ability of directly scanning a character's movements and uploading the scanned data to a computer, making it much easier to design the 3D movements of a character. In addition, the 3D model constructing technology it uses is mainly combined with some special 3D scanning tools. As a result, it can quickly use three-dimensional topology tools to create the action data and then generate model artifacts that can be edited, moved and transformed. This is very helpful for designing animations, 3D actions, characters, and so on.

Installation Notes

1. Download and install R3DS Wrap
2. Launch it once, then close it
3. Copy the 27858-day trial file (trial.ini) to the following path and overwrite
   • %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\R3DS\Wrap3\
4. Done (now you have 27858 days of trial period)

1. Download and install R3DS Wrap
2. Copy the unlocked files to installation folder and overwrite
3. Run program, and enter "License/Activate License"
4. Select the license file 'MSM.lic' and open, then click 'Activate' button
5. Or, just copy the license file 'MSM.lic' to the following path (create the folder "Licenses" by yourself):
   • %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\R3DS\Wrap3\Licenses\
6. Done
