TransOther can make transparent to all but the active window, that is, it can let the current window highlight, but make other windows more transparent and more dim. So you can concentrate on the current working window, and won't be influenced by other Windows.
TransOther makes our attention get concentrated on the vision, and improves our working efficiency in some ways.
BTW, use the "Settings" in the tray menu to change the transparency level.
