[v2025.307] Secret Disk – Creates hidden disk with password protection

To protect the security of files/data, I have always found it preferable to hide and/or set an access password for a partition rather than to encrypt the partition or an entire hard disk. The reasons are: 1) The performance and efficiency of reading/writing encrypted files are extremely low; 2) As far as I know, although an encrypted file is hard to crack, it is the most likely to happen and the most deadly for users to forget their encryption key - there is no solution at all; 3) In fact, even if you just hide one partition without password protection, few people would expect you to protect your private data in this way.

Therefore, the effective protection of important and private data can be achieved to a large extent by means of the combination of hidden partition + password protection. Secret Disk allows user to create a separate, password-protected and hidden partition on Windows, which automatically locks and disappears when the system starts up or PC goes out of power. This ensures that everything in it is completely invisible, and anyone must have a password to see and access this secret disk.

Secret Disk works like a normal hard disk, and is compatible with any other installed program without affecting the originally stored data. You can create multiple secret disks, and each can have a different password. Even if there is a power outage or a fatal system error, your secret disk will be locked immediately and automatically become invisible, so there will be no data decryption.

It's worth noting that Secret Disk does not encrypt any file. Instead, all it does is restrict access to the file (a password is required). In other words, keep your files on this disk, then no one else can see this disk normally. When we want to use the files on this disk ourselves, we only need to use shortcut key + password to make the hidden disk show its colors.

In addition, if you need to leave your computer (by which time the screensaver may be running) or has an emergency, then you can lock the disk immediately by pressing the F8 key. In short, Secret Disk can effectively protect the security of your computer files on this disk and prevent anyone from snooping on or even messing with your important or private data.
