PSX Emulation Cheater (PEC for short) is a universal plugin application supporting for all kinds of PSX emulators that allows you to apply GameShark (video game cheat cartridges) cheats codes to PlayStation 1 game ROMs with these Sony PlayStation game console emulators. It is an old and discontinued software (the final version is v2002.2), but still works well now.

PSX Emulation Cheater was created by Jens Duttke from Germany. Its function is the same as the GameShark CD for PS1, or we can basically regard it as a GameShark's action replay. Its inbuilt cheats database contains 70000+ cheat codes for 1800+ PS1 games. Besides, you are also allowed to custom your own cheat codes via its user database system. That means all you need to do for cheating a PS1 game is just download this program, extract it and start cheating.

Simple Tutorial

Take ePSXe for example:
  1. Download and install PSX Emulation Cheater
  2. Replace the old Codelist with the new Codelist (available in archive)
  3. Open ePSXe
  4. Select PSAME Emulation Cheater Plugin on ePSXe
  5. Ready to use
  6. To activate the cheat, during game play, press CTRL + G
  7. Select Game and check the Cheat you want to activate
  8. Press "Send Cheats to Plugin"
