Relying on the acoustic fingerprint identification technology, MusicBrainz Picard can help user automatically match the ID3 tag, whole album and download album art of a variety of formats of music files. The entire operation is very simple and smart: users only need to drag & drop music files/folders directly onto the software UI, then click 'Scan'/'Lookup' button. The principle of matching process is to compare the signature (PUID) of local music files with the information stored in the open-source Internet music album database MusicBrainz.
