Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a very unusual, difficult and competitive indie game for Windows and mobile platforms, developed by Bennett Foddy (who made the popular online Flash game QWOP) from Australia, using Unity. It's not a purely original game, but rather a heavy reference/respect to the old but classic mini-game Sexy Hiking made by Jazzuo in 2002.
In game, player controls a disabled man in a jar (only upper limbs, no lower limbs), and the only thing you can rely on is a sledgehammer. By physical action, player uses the hammer as a point of support and makes use of the surrounding terrain to keep himself moving forward and climbing up. Along the way, you will run into all kinds of obstacles that will break you down and make you laugh or cry.
The gameplay is extremely simple, but the difficulty is extremely high, and takes much time. I'm sure it will drive all players crazy, that is one of the author's intentions. Players need to be patient and in control of their emotions, and the game takes at least two hours to complete. Most often, if you fall from a high place, you may have to start all over again.

Key Features
- Climb up an enormous mountain with nothing but a hammer and a pot.
- Listen as I make philosophical observations about the problem at hand.
- Between 2 and ∞ hours of agonizing gameplay, depending. The median time to finish for my playtesters was 5 hours, but the mean was closer to ∞.
- Lose all your progress, over and over.
- Feel new types of frustration you didn't know you were capable of.
- Magical reward awaits hikers who reach the top.
