Installation Notes

for v10.1.0:
  1. Download and extract program
  2. Run it as administrator, and do not install the printer driver
  3. Done
for v9.4.0+:
  1. Completely remove any previously installed versions
  2. Download and install Foxit PhantomPDF
  3. Don't launch program, and exit the activation window
  4. Double click the reg key file 'Express2BusinessFix.reg' to import license info
  5. Copy the unlocked files to installation folder and overwrite
  6. (This steps depends) Run program, at the activation window, choose "Free Trial" -> "Business"
  7. Done
for v8.x.x/v9.x.x:
  1. Download and install Foxit PhantomPDF, don't launch it
  2. Double click the reg key file 'Express2BusinessFix.reg' to import license info
  3. Copy the unlock patch to installation folder and run it as administrator, then click 'Patch'
  4. Run program, at the activation window, choose "Free Trial" -> "Business"
  5. Done

Prompts

  • Run FoxitPhantomPDF.exe as administrator to start or check the "Run this program as an administrator" item in its compatibility properties!

Warning

  • The unlock patch 'Patch-REPT.exe' may be falsely reported as PUP: Win32:Patcher-AK [PUP] threat with low severity. Use VirusTotal to make a full, authoritative scan.
  • After installing and uninstalling Foxit PhantomPDF, your PDF file association setting will not work properly any more! The solution is:
    1. Run regedit
    2. Enter "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf"
    3. Delete all keys, except UserChoice
    4. Now, you can associate PDF file with any application you want correctly
