FileTypesMan – File associations viewer, modifier and fixer

You may notice that, the Windows built-in "File Types" function is too limited and difficult to use for both beginners and advanced users, especially when encounter file association errors to need repair. So we'd better choose a easier and easy-to-use alternative tool.

FileTypesMan can be used to manage and edit (view, modify, add, remove) the registered file associations on your Windows. With its help, you can learn about the very detailed information of each file type (including Extension, Type Name, Description, MIME Type, Default Icon, Flags,...). It's much more powerful and comprehensive than the "File Types" feature of "Folder Options" (XP) and "Indexing Options" (Windows 7) or the "Set Associations" of "Default Programs" (Windows 8/8.1).
