Installation Notes

1. Make sure you have completely uninstalled and cleaned any previous installation of Diskeeper
2. Disable your Internet connection temporarily
3. Install Diskeeper as trial
4. Copy the corresponding unlock patch to installation folder (like C:\Program Files\Condusiv Technologies\Diskeeper\), and run it as administrator
5. Select the Edition you are using, then click 'Start' and wait for the confirmation dialog
6. Click 'Patch' and wait for the confirmation dialog
7. Restart computer to start the Diskeeper service (DKService.exe)
8. Delete the 'MetadataStore.dat' file in "C:\programdata\condusiv technologies\tce\"
9. Block this program with your firewall, or add the following lines to your hosts file:
   • 0.0.0.0 esm.condusiv.com
   • 0.0.0.0 esm.diskeeper.com
