One of the most common problems when playing popular online games is live chatting over the Internet. Some live chatting services require players to share multiple IP addresses to make calls, while others (such as Skype or TeamSpeak, TeamTalk) take up a lot of system resources. That led to the birth of Discord, a more user-friendly chat software based on modern technology.
Discord is a VoIP, instant messaging and digital distribution platform that has become very popular in recent years, runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS platforms and Web browsers. It supports user communications via voice call, video call, text messaging, media and files in private chats or as part of communities called "servers" (collections of persistent chat rooms and voice chat channels which can be accessed via invite links).
As an increasingly sophisticated game chat application and community, Discord started out as a simple voice chat app and IM tool for games. Later, it moved into live games platform, and then into a community platform for game stores. Now, it has become the preferred tool for gamers to communicate and collaborate in games. In addition, it has attracted a large non-gamer audience and is widely used by study groups, dance classes, book clubs and many other virtual gathering groups. Even better, Discord can connect quickly and easily with Steam, Facebook, Twitch, and other popular social platforms.
Discord used group chatting in games as a starting point, gradually formed a huge community of players. Then, more and more "non-gamers" came to Discord, creating all kinds of channels like "study groups" and "sneaker discussion groups", which turned Discord into an integrated Internet community based on interests. Discord's product functions and logics are very similar to Slack's, but one is based on "hobbies and interests" and one focuses on "office scenes". It beat Microsoft's own Skype in the voice race. That's probably one of the reasons Microsoft wants to buy it.

Prompts
- If it shows "CHECKING FOR UPDATES" all the time, that means your country has blocked all servers for this software. The only working solution is use a proxy tool like V2Ray or BBWD to bypass. And, you must make sure the proxy runs at "Global Proxy" state.
