Army Men all games in one place

AppNee once promised a user to share all of the Army Men game works. Years have passed in a flash. Although it started off by intermittently releasing 7 Army Men titles, one game per post, this mission was eventually suspended due to time and effort issues. Now, AppNee has returned to this task and finished it at one go - making all Army Men game works in one place instead. The ones that have been posted will be fixed and referenced here, all the other games will be released all at once.

Army Men is a long and glorious series of video/PC games developed by 3DO and Global Star Software. The first release is Army Men, in 1998; the latest release is Army Men III (unofficial and discontinued), in 2013. It had appeared on almost every game console, and the genre of games that the series continued to release was constantly changing, and the technical effects used were constantly evolving. Even so, the franchise had morphed into a commercial moneymaker rather than being a leader representing the direction of high-quality games as it once was, so its position in the industry was subtly changing.

Unfortunately, with the evolution of the trend of the times and the company's growing financial problems, 3DO struggled for several years, but still could not overcome the impact of the market, and finally declared bankruptcy in 2003. Trademarks and publishing rights for their games were auctioned or transferred, and its production teams were taken over by other companies. Some of the largest takeover vendors include Microsoft, Namco, Crave and Ubisoft. They continued the lifeblood of many great games on the basis of 3DO's existing games, which is why 3DO became history in 2003, and gamers have seen the release of 3DO classic games for generations to come.

However, since 3DO went bankrupt, the vast number of Army Men fans players have lost their way. Army Men: Sarge's War, which had been claimed to be the conclusion work of the entire series, became a rest and was no longer heard from. Even the Take-Two company, who bought the copyrights of Army Men, didn't surprise us at all. Their Army Men: Sarge's War received mostly medium to bad reviews.

After that, there were also Army Men: Major Malfunction and Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune. The appearance of these two works seemed to indicate the irreversible decline of the Army Men series. After the fiasco of these two games, the series was officially shelved, and we haven't seen more works since. Ironically, these two sequels were so bad that they arranged "Sarge's untimely death" and "The Green country being the only country in the toy world", making Sarge's War the whole series' final end.

The good news is that ever since then, a growing number of fans players around the world are trying to keep Army Men's childhood legacy alive on their own. Army Men III, a fan game that started recruiting developers and was developed in 2012, is one of the best known. It is our sincere hope that this franchise will live on in the form of fan enthusiasm. It's pity that as of preparing this post, this game also has been discontinued. However another good news is there is a new IP inspired by it is in production. And, all of them are free (even open-source) games to play.
