Army Men: Air Attack (AMAA for short) was released by The 3DO Company in 1999, for Windows, PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color platforms. Of which, the versions on Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color platforms were re-titled as Army Men: Air Combat. It is the fifth work of the Army Men series, also the first work started to use a 3D engine where terrain and units are rendered in real-time.
In the whole series of this third-person shooter games, Army Men: Air Attack is also the first work where players can fly all kinds of helicopters to perform combat missions. And for the first time, in Army Men: Air Attack, the original only one playable character Sarge in the game was replaced by Captain William Blade who served in the air cavalry brigade. In a total of 16 stages, he was appointed to drive various models of new helicopters to sweep the yellow army. These aircraft prototypes include Apache, Huey, Chinook, etc. And you can unlock to use another 3 special helicopters and co-pilots after finishing some missions.
Also, because Army Men: Air Attack is actually an unmixed flight shooting game, it abandoned the complex operations in all previous works, so as to make it easier to get started. BTW, the time I entered this game, it more or less made me think of another classic helicopter shooting game series from Russia: the Divo Games' AirStrike series.
