Anki is a friendly, intelligent spaced (word card) learning system based on the Spaced Repetition theory. It's free and open source, with which you can remember anything, anywhere and efficiently.

The name of Anki comes from the Japanese "??" (the Japanese pronunciation is: Anki, means "memorize"). There are also commercial software SuperMemo and freeware Mnemosyne based on the same principle.

Improved to the SM2 algorithm of SuperMemo, so makes Anki can optimize and adjust automatically according to the priority and emergency of memory cards. In addition, since the memory card uses the HTML language, so we can freely insert image, audio and LaTeX formula.

Anki supports multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux/BSD, Android, iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, or even Symbian. Besides, we can not only log in the AnkiWeb for learning, but can also sign up for a free account to achieve synchronization among all the above platforms.
